I grew up in a small city in Zhejiang, China—a place where the air itself seems to smell like manufacturing. It is a hub where hundreds of factories produce luggage for the rest of the world.

But my true connection to "the suitcase" began 20 years ago.

As a student heading to university in Chengdu—over 2,000 kilometers away—my only companion during the three-day, three-night journey on a slow-moving, green-bodied train was a massive, clunky suitcase. It was more than just a bag; it was my lifeline.

After graduation, I spent years selling suitcases on e-commerce platforms and eventually partnered to run my own factory. We produced and sold millions of bags, but I eventually felt a sense of burnout. I realized that most suitcases were just cold, industrial shells—four wheels designed to move items from point A to point B, lacking any real soul or innovation.

I wanted to change that. Riseloo was born from a desire to do better.

We leverage our deep roots in manufacturing and our intimate understanding of traveler pain points to engineer a different kind of experience.
